Marcos Suarez, MD

Dr. Marcos Suarez is a board-certified physician, specializing in general adult psychiatry.
He currently serves as Medical Director for two Crisis Stabilization Units in North County
San Diego. Dr. Suarez relocated to the San Diego area in 2022, after living in Palm Springs for 10 years, where he served as Medical Director for Emergency Behavioral Health Services and Section Chief of Psychiatry at Eisenhower Health.

An Orange County native, Dr. Suarez first began singing at the age of 10 with the All-American Boys Chorus and went on to sing with the Mater Dei High School choir. While in college, he sang with the revered University of Notre Dame Glee Club and a cappella group, The Undertones. While in medical school, he was also honored to sing with the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus.

Dr. Suarez joined the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus in January 2024 and its Board of Directors in January 2025. He is dedicated to preserving the mission, brotherhood, and success of the Chorus for many generations to come. In his spare time, you can find him enjoying his friends, always fun Cuban-American family, working out, and boating.
